The road is never straight when
It runs beside a river
Curving with the wild waters
That know not man’s boundaries
Amble with me on this trail
And I’ll teach you what I’ve learnt
What lies beyond the harsh lines
Assumptions too often made
As we walk the sun will sink
But fear not the looming dark
Which brings with it a secret
That few souls will ever know
For when you surrender to
The truth that lies deep within
You will bathe in a new light
Of the kind that never sets
