Rose Garden

The seasons, here you watch them

come and go, like lovers that

change every time the spark of

unnamed delight, turns and drifts

over to another soul

Just as you’ve smelt the roses,

their summer blooms start fading;

leaving but a thorny note

of regret, as petals fall,

hope and belief dissolving

Now the leaves, they drift away

on the bright crisp autumn breeze;

whirling in eddies, gently

nudging the reluctant heart

to find a new direction
