Those sentient stones, guarding
the gates to another world
Solemn sentries, reminding
of a dark, unstable past
I look to them in wonder
of what it is they’ve lived through
And in their mighty story
they can offer us a clue
From those fading, misty years
when the earth coughed raging fire
And her haunting, wildest fears
were shared with our ancestors
Lessons from a time when there
was no harsh separation;
Man and nature, together
battling against damnation
